Tamil Mirchi
This happened a couple of weeks back during the show and it is really funny to think back to it.
We usually answer all calls we receive at the station during the show. If the call comes in when we are playing a song we put the caller on hold and then take them on-air but if the call comes in when we are arattai adichifying we pick up the call directly on-air.
So the other day, 10 minutes into the show, we are playing a song and we see the light flashing to indicate a caller. The first caller of the day always excites us. It makes us relieved that there is someone listening to us and puts in some effort to call us and talk to us. We take the call off-air and we go “Hello Tamil Mirchi” and we hear “Hello! I am calling from XYZ satellite company!”
Would it have been more fun if we ended up taking the caller on-air directly? And we still wonder what would have happened if we took the caller on-air directly..
