Houston do we have a problem?

Downtown Houston

Houston – love it or hate it… we call it home… I have a love-hate relationship with Houston.

I enjoy its rather mild winters and complain about the super humid summers.

I love the modern, urban feel the city radiates but hate the commute and the traffic (yes I am talking about I-10 and 59 and 288 and 45).

I love the easy accessibility to anything remotely desi (temples, groceries, movies, masal dosai and gobi manchurian) but complain the lack of Saravana Bhavan.

I love the ferris wheel in downtown but hate the fact that we do not have anything touristy to do in Houston other than a visit to NASA or Kemah or Moody Gardens.

I love the wide variety of shopping Houston offers!

I love the Hermann Park and Miller Theater!

I hate the pathetic public transport system and crazy HOV lanes!

I hate the fact that we have a Walgreens and CVS every 2 miles on busy Westheimer!

I hate the fact that at times I drive an hour to meet friends who live in Houston!

Oh I could go on….. So tell us, what are things you love about H-town and what are the not-so-good things about Houston!

Voice your views! We sure love to know what you think of our town!
