Independence and you
I live miles and seas away from my motherland and crib about not having a holiday on India’s Independence day and Republic Day. I dream about a long weekend, lazing around. Is that my patriotic spirit? Is that the way I see my nation’s hard-earned independence? I am ashamed of myself.

Golden Boy – Abhinav
I admit, I never heard of the name Abhinav Bindra before today. Today, I google about him, read everything I can about him, see his pictures and feel a sense of pride.
How many of you knew him/heard of his name before today?

Yesterday on-air we discussed the rather sorry show put up by Indians and there goes Abhinav Bindra proving us, we have the facilities in India and all it needs is a dedicated effort, support from family and friends, and a will to succeed!
The first gold for an individual event, the first gold for India since 1980 – The statistics are mind boggling!
Way to go Abhinav!
